Iranian team producing “Shippers” animated series for Lebanese TV channel

TEHRAN – A team of Iranian animators and writers have begun working on “Shippers”, an animation series to be aired on the Lebanese Al Mayadeen television channel.
“The series contains two-minute episodes, each centering on different social issues bearing a comic tone,” one of the writers of the series, Mahbubeh Zarei, told the Persian service of MNA on Saturday.
“I am not the only writer for this series, we are working as a team of writers under the supervision of Salman Khorshidi, the director at the Foresight Media, a media production firm in Iran,” she remarked.
Zarei added that the topic and the texts will be translated into Arabic later on and submitted to Al Mayadeen for approval.
She explained that all the events happen aboard a ship with fifteen passengers, each of whom symbolize different walks of life of people in the society. “In each episode, one problem is reviewed and a solution is given,” she added.
“The entire team is Iranian and it is even interesting to me that Iranian writers have been asked to write the stories,” she added.
“However, they have good solutions. They offer different topics and explain about each topic in detail and give the solutions,” she concluded.
The series is a coproduction of Al Mayadeen and Foresight Media.
